Welcome to the Cable Community Church website!
We are a traditional church serving the Sherrard, Illinois area, including communities in Mercer, Henry and Rock Island Counties.
We exist to provide spiritual education and enrichment to the people of these areas.
Our goal is to live and love like our Lord, Jesus Christ.
Tonight’s Bible Study (December 9, 2009) is cancelled due to extreme weather conditions.
This year’s Christmas Program is scheduled for December 20th at 6:30 PM. The original play, featuring both adult and child actors, “Room For A King,” explores the transformation possible at Christmastime with events in and around the manger. Between acts of the play, the Sunday School children will sing holiday selections. Please help us to provide refreshments after the production by bringing “finger foods” to share on that evening.
On Friday, December 4th at 5:00 PM, the youth group and any other interested parties will meet at the church to go Christmas caroling. Pizza will be provided for supper that night. Participants must sign up beforehand with Vi and bring $5.00 for pizza.
Mark your calendar for the annual Church Decorating Night and Soup Supper. We will do this on Wednesday, December 2, 2009. Soup is served at 6:30 PM. Bring your favorite soup, salad or dessert to share, and join in the fun of decorating the church for the holiday season.
